‘Til Death Do Us Part…

Copyrights are property. Upon death, copyrights become part of our “residuary” estate UNLESS we specify that they go to a specific person. In my case, several of my works are co-authored, so I’ve indicated that these copyrights will be the property of my co-author when I die.

Also, any stories that  we want to prevent being published AFTER our death must be clearly and specifically stated in the will. Like memoirs, for example…

Wills are important documents! Be sure to include your writing career assets when you create/update yours!!
