Happy 4th of July

4th of JulyI wish all my readers and their loved ones a safe, happy, and healthy 4th of July weekend.

Say a prayer or share a special thought of thanks for this nation of ours. Our independence as a nation was hard-won and keeping it has come at a great cost to many. And, in many cases, it cost many others their independence, too.

When you gather with family and friends this holiday, capture those stories that are often shared when people get together. What is your family history? What are the stories that make you who you are?

Writer’s listen carefully and write much!

Be well, all. Nancy Q.

  1. We must appreciate that we live in one of history’s most exceptional moments — in a nation and a time of unprecedented freedom. Freedom as we know it has been experienced by perhaps less than one percent of the entire human family. The greatest watchdog of our freedom is an informed electorate. Stay informed to honor those who gave their all in protecting those freedoms.

I completely agree and in so many areas, we must stop abdicating our responsibilities and accountability – and therefore our rights – to others. We need to read and think and act for ourselves responsibly – and that includes being an informed electorate! Thanks so much for making such an important point.
