Point and Shoot Series: Book One

Point and Shoot Series: Book One

Family and friends are aware that this novel seeing publication is nothing short of a miracle. It has been through more iterations than the Oxford Dictionary, though it is considerably less wordy than that, I promise. Like most authors, my list of thanks is a long and humble one. Being a finalist in multiple national contests and then winning a category award for the finished but unpublished manuscript in 2010 – the Royal Palm Literary Award – I knew that the book was finally worthy of publication.

Despite the fact that mainstream agents are still tolling the death knoll for all things mystery, including the intrepid private eyes, we’re convinced around here that that just ain’t so!

ON AUGUST 27, 2015, MURDER IN BLACK AND WHITE will hit the Kindle, KOBO and Amazon bookshelves. Kindle and Kobo pre-orders can be placed RIGHT NOW, and will be delivered in the pre-dawn hours of Aug 27 right to your eBook library! Local bookstores in St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Flagler Beach and Palatka will be carrying them by mid-September.

This awesome book cover is the work of Rik Feeney of the central Florida area, a man of many talents and a successful author and businessman in his own right. He originally designed it as a gift to inspire me to finish the book and see it to publication, five years ago. He has just tweaked and finalized it and it is now officially  mine. I couldn’t be happier with it. I hope he’ll stay with me on the series!

And my heartfelt thanks and appreciation go to Jan Coffey and Skye Taylor, successful and multi-published authors who took the time to read the manuscript and then provide terrific quotes for the book launch. You are awesome and talented folks as well as being among my favorite authors.

On the heels of this novel, my Vietnam War short story, YELLOW RIBBON, which finaled in the Writer’s Digest competition in 2005, will be re-released after being published initially for three years with Wild Rose Press. That book sports yet another Feeney cover I’m proud of. I’m looking forward to many e-book sales on this mini: I’ve promised to donate 50% of all proceeds to the K9’s for Warriors project located here in Florida and they can sure use the financial support.

And so, this is my moment of shameless self-promotion and not another word about it on this blog unless you bring it up, I promise. By that time, my web team will have the old NLQuatrano.com website back up and running with all the new stuff on it and that’s where my personal work will reside.

Never lose hope, never stop writing, never be unwilling to change and strengthen things! Always work to put out the best work that you can! All that hard work will be worth it to you. Nancy Q.
